SMOTHERED PORK CHOPS | |
6 pork chops 3 med. onions 1 green pepper 1 lg. can tomatoes 6 tbsp. uncooked rice Salt and pepper In a heavy frying pan, brown chops on both sides. Transfer to large casserole. Sprinkle each with salt and pepper. On top of each chop, place a tablespoon of rice, then 1/2 onion, then a green pepper ring. Pour in tomatoes to cover. Bake covered 3/4 hour in moderate 400 degree oven. Fewer or more chops may be used with other ingredients in proportion. |
