SMOTHERED PORK CHOPS 
6 thick pork chops
2 lemons, sliced thin
1 lg. onion, sliced and separated into rings
1 green pepper, cored, seeded and sliced into rings
1 bottle of Ketchup
1 tbsp. butter
Salt
Pepper
Hot bacon fat
1/2 ketchup bottle of water

Brown pork chops in bacon fat, cover with lemon slices, onion and green pepper rings. Mix ketchup and water, pour over pork chops. Salt and pepper to taste (can dot with butter). Cover tightly, cook slowly, 1 to 1 1/2 hours, until tender.
