EGG CUSTARD 
1 c. sugar
3 tbsp. flour
3 egg yolks
1 1/2 c. milk
3 tbsp. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. lemon flavoring (optional)

Mix sugar and flour. Add beaten eggs, then milk, butter, vanilla and flavoring. Bake in an unbaked crust for 10 minutes at 400 degrees; reduce heat to 350 degrees and cook until set. Top with meringue. Takes about 1 1/2 hours to cook.
