APPLE CAKE 
2 cups apples, chopped
1/4 cup oil
1 tsp. vanilla
1 egg
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 cup nuts, chopped

Combine all ingredients and pour into an 8x8-inch greased pan. Bake at 350°F for 45 minutes. While cake is baking, prepare sauce.

Sauce:

1/4 cup butter
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk

Add ingredients to saucepan and boil for 1 minute. Pour over hot cake.

Serves 6.
