DOUBLE PEANUT BUTTER, CHOCOLATE
CHIP, NUT COOKIES
 
1 c. shortening
1 c. peanut butter
1 c. granulated sugar
1 c. packed brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. chocolate chips
1/2 c. chopped walnuts or salted peanuts

Cream first 4 ingredients; beat in eggs and vanilla. Stir together flour, soda and salt; blend into batter. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts. Form into 1 inch balls. Place on ungreased cookie sheet; flatten slightly with fingers. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes.
