VERMONT APPLE SLAW 
1/2 c. mayonnaise
1 tbsp. sugar
1 tbsp. vinegar
1 qt. shredded cabbage
2 c. chopped apples
1/2 c. celery
1/4 c. raisins
1/4 c. chopped walnuts

Combine mayonnaise, sugar and vinegar. Mix well. Add remaining ingredients; mix lightly. Chill. Serve in cabbage leaf-lined bowl and top with apple slices.
