MARION'S MUFFIN MIX 
2 beaten eggs
1 c. sour cream (or 1 c. evaporated milk with 2 tbsp. lemon juice)
10 tbsp. melted, unsalted butter

Mix the above together.

In large bowl combine and mix well:

3 c. unsifted flour
1 c. sugar
4 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
Lg. dash nutmeg
Sm. dash cardamom (optional)

Add the first mixture to the dry ingredients. Mix with fork until just moistened. Mixture will be lumpy. Fold in: 2 cups washed berries or mashed or diced fruit. Peaches, apples, bananas or any combination will do.

Spoon mixture in muffin cups, 2/3rds full. Bake approximately 15 to 20 minutes, depending on size of muffins. Extra large cones are nice for a change. Don't over-bake.
