CHOCOLATE SUNDAE COOKIES AND
FROSTING
 
1 1/2 c. sifted flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
2/3 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. butter
1 egg
1/4 c. cherry juice
2 tbsp. milk
2 (2 oz.) unsweetened chocolate squares
1/2 c. chopped walnuts
1/4 c. chopped maraschino cherries

Set aside flour, soda, salt. Mix brown sugar and butter until creamy. Blend in 1 egg, beat well. Stir in 1/2 flour mixture and add cherry juice and milk then stir in remaining flour mixture. Mix well. Blend in melted unsweetened chocolate, walnuts and cherries. Drop onto ungreased cookie sheet teaspoon of mixture. Bake at 350 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes.

FROSTING:

1 lb. confectioners' sugar
1/2 c. canned cream (Carnation)
2 oz. unsweetened chocolate melted
1 tsp. vanilla
4 tbsp. butter, (butter)
Salt

Melt unsweetened chocolate squares. Mix confectioners' sugar, butter, vanilla and couple dashes of salt by electric mixer along with cream. After unsweetened chocolate is melted add to this mixture to complete frosting.
