HARVARD BEETS 
6 med. beets or 1 can
1/2 c. sugar
1 tbsp. cornstarch
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. vinegar
2 tbsp. butter

If fresh beets wash, cook in boiling water until tender. Slice or cube. Mix sugar, cornstarch and salt. Add vinegar, boil for 5 minutes stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Add butter and pour over beets.
