CONGO BARS 
2 3/4 c. flour
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
2/3 c. butter
3 eggs
1 lb. light brown sugar
1 pkg. (7 oz.) chocolate chips
1 tsp. vanilla
2 tbsp. water
1 c. nuts

Sift dry ingredients. Melt butter and add sugar. Stir and let cool slightly. Add eggs one at a time, beating well. Add dry ingredients and water, then nuts, chips and vanilla. Bake in oblong pan, 350 degrees, 20 minutes. Cut into squares.
