LEE'S CONGO BARS 
2/3 c. melted butter
1 box brown sugar
2 eggs, beaten
2 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tbsp. water
1 tsp. vanilla
1 lg. pkg. chocolate chips
1 c. chopped nuts
1/2 tsp. salt

Melt butter; add sugar and eggs. Sift flour, baking powder, and salt together and add to mixture with water. Add vanilla, chocolate chips and nuts.

Spread in well greased 10 x 16 pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 30 minutes. Cut into bars while still warm. Makes about 40 bars.
