LEMON POUND CAKE 
6 eggs, room temp.
1 c. buttermilk
3 c. sifted flour
3 c. sugar
2 tsp. lemon, extract
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. Crisco
1 tsp. butter, flavoring

Sift flour, soda and salt together and set aside. Beat egg whites in a bowl - set aside. Beat egg yolks in a bowl - set aside. Beat Crisco. Add sugar, butter flavoring and lemon extract. Beat in egg yolks. Gradually add flour mixture and 1 cup buttermilk. Fold in egg whites.
