APPLE PIZZA
1 3/4 c. all purpose flour, divided
3 tbsp. sugar, divided
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 c. butter
1/4 c. vegetable shortening
6 tbsp. cold water
2 red Delicious apples, thinly sliced (I used Jonathans)
2 Granny Smith apples, thinly sliced
1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp. each ground nutmeg and cloves

Preheat oven to 425 degrees. On food processor, combine 1 1/2 cups flour, 1 tablespoon sugar, salt, butter and shortening. Process with pulse motion until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Gradually add water, pulsing 5-10 times, remove dough from processor. Form ball, wrap with plastic wrap, chill 15 minutes. On clean, flat surface, sprinkle remaining 1/4 flour. Roll dough to 15 inch circle. Transfer to 14 inch pizza pan. Pastry will hang over edges. Arrange apples alternating color in concentric circle. In small bowl combine remaining 2 tablespoons sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves. Sprinkle over apples. Fold pastry edge over apples. Bake 20-25 minutes until golden brown. Serve with frozen yogurt.
