NUT CAKE 
4 c. flour
1 lb. butter
6 eggs
2 c. sugar
1 qt. pecans
1 lb. pitted dates
1/4 lb. crystalized red & green pineapple
1 lg. grated rind of orange
2 tsp. lemon extract
2 tsp. vanilla extract
2 tsp. baking powder

Sift flour and measure. Add baking powder and sift again. Remove 1/4 cup to dredge fruit and nuts which have been chopped. Cream butter and sugar; add eggs, one at a time and gradually add flour.

Blend in orange rind and extracts. Mix in dredged fruits and nuts. Place in lined stem cake pan and bake at 275 degrees for 2 hours.
