3/4 c. butter
1 c. sugar
1 egg
1/4 c. dark molasses
2 1/4 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
3/4 tsp. ginger
3/4 tsp. powdered cloves
1 c. raisins
1 c. walnuts

Mix butter, sugar, egg, and dark molasses. Mix flour, baking soda, cinnamon, ginger and powdered cloves. Combine and blend butter mixture with flour mixture. Add 1 cup raisins. Add 1 cup nuts. Form 4 sausages, 2 to a cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for approximately 12 minutes until surface of cookie cracks. Cut while hot.
