4 1/2 c. sifted cake flour
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. allspice
1 c. softened butter
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. milk
2 eggs, beaten
1 c. nuts, chopped
1 c. raisins

Sift first 6 ingredients together. Cream butter and sugar together. Add milk to beaten eggs. Add dry ingredients alternately with liquid to creamed mixture. Add nuts and raisins. Drop from teaspoon onto greased baking sheet. Bake in moderate oven until browned.
