2 c. brown sugar
3/4 c. butter

Cream together.

3 eggs
2/3 c. water
1 tsp. baking soda (rounded)
1 1/2 c. chopped nuts
3 c. sifted flour
1 lb. dates, cut up in small pieces

Add eggs and water. Add flour and soda mixed.

Cut up and add dates last.

Drop by teaspoon on cookie sheet and bake at 400 degrees 12 to 15 minutes or lightly browned.
