BLACKBERRY CAKE 
2/3 c. butter
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. milk or cream
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
2 tsp. cocoa
3 c. blackberries

Cream butter, sugar and eggs. Add flour and soda alternately with milk. Add spices and cocoa; fold in blackberries. Batter will be thick. Spoon batter into loaf pan. Bake at 350 degree oven for 40 to 45 minutes. Yield: 12 servings.
