1/2 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. sweet milk
1 egg

Boil together sugar and milk in saucepan until it becomes thick and will coat a spoon. Remove from heat. Add beaten egg and stir until cool. Put generously between layers, allowing time for them to absorb the sauce.
