OVEN STEW | |
3 lb. stew meat, chuck roast is fine 4 to 5 potatoes 4 to 5 carrots 1 can green beans with juice 1 can bamboo shoots, drained 1 lg. can tomatoes, stewed or whole/cut-up 4 to 5 onions 5 stalks celery 1/2 c. tapioca 3 tsp. salt Just mix all ingredients together raw. Place in roaster and bake in a 275 degree oven for 6 hours. The stew browns itself and very seldom have I had to add any additional liquid. Serves 6 to 8. |
