CABBAGE CHOWDER 
4 c. shredded cabbage
2 c. sliced carrots
3 diced potatoes
1 tbsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
3 c. water
4 c. scalded milk
2 tbsp. butter
1/2 tsp. sugar

Combine vegetables, seasonings and water. Cook until tender about 10 minutes. Add milk. When ready to serve, add butter.
