BUTTERNUT SNOWBALLS 
2 sticks butter
1/2 c. sugar
2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. finely chopped pecans
2 c. sifted flour

Cream butter, sugar and vanilla until fluffy. Sift flour with salt; add to creamed mixture, blending thoroughly. Add pecans and mix well. Shape into 1 inch balls and place on baking sheet. Bake in preheated 325 degree oven about 20 minutes. Do not brown. Cool; then roll in confectioners' sugar. Yields 6 dozen.
