1 c. shortening
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. granulated sugar

Cream well.

3 egg yolks
1 tbsp. cold water
1 tsp. vanilla

Add and beat well.

2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt

Sift together. Add to above and mix well. Pat dough into 9 x 13 inch pan.

6 oz. chocolate chips

Cover dough with chips.

3 egg whites

Beat until stiff.

1 1/2 c. BROWN sugar

Add to egg whites and beat until very stiff. Spread over chips and bake 30 minutes at 350 degrees.
