MIXED GRAIN CORN BREAD 
1 1/3 c. yellow cornmeal
2/3 c. whole wheat flour
1/4 c. wheat germ
2 tbsp. sesame seed
1 egg
2 tbsp. soy grits (optional)
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 c. cooking oil
2 c. buttermilk

Stir together cornmeal, flour, wheat germ, sesame seed, soy grits, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Beat together egg and cooking oil; add buttermilk. Stir buttermilk mixture into dry ingredients, blending until moistened. Turn into one greased 9x9x2 inch cast iron skillet. Bake in oven for 25 minutes at 400 degrees.
