CHOCOLATE DROP COOKIES 
2/3 c. butter, softened
1 c. granulated sugar
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 egg
1 1/2 c. unsifted all-purpose flour
1/2 c. Hershey's cocoa
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1/3 c. buttermilk or sour milk

Cream butter and granulated sugar in large bowl. Blend in vanilla and egg. In a separate bowl combine flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt. Alternately add flour mixture and buttermilk or sour milk to creamed mixture.

Drop by teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart onto a lightly greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 7-9 minutes. Remove from cookie sheet. Cool on a wire rack. Frost, if desired.

To Sour Milk: Use 1 teaspoon vinegar plus milk to equal 1/3 cup.
