CHOCOLATE BIT DROP COOKIES 
1 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
2/3 c. granulated sugar
1 c. shortening
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/3 c. Robin Hood all purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 c. chocolate bits

Cream sugars, shortening, eggs, and vanilla thoroughly. Spoon flour into dry measuring cup. Level off and pour measured flour onto wax paper. Add soda and salt to flour. Stir to blend, add blended dry ingredients to creamed mixture. Mix well. Stir in chocolate bits. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto greased baking sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes. Makes 6-7 dozen cookies.
