MARSHA'S SWEET AND SOUR PORK 'N
BEANS CHILI
 
2 lb. ground beef
1 large onion, finely chopped
1 small green pepper, finely chopped
1/2 cup fresh sliced mushrooms
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
1 (16 oz.) can pork and beans (your favorite)
1 (20 oz.) can pineapple chunks or bits
1 cup ketchup (Hunts)
1 (15 oz.) can stewed tomatoes
1 (15 oz.) can diced tomatoes
1 (6 oz.) can sliced black olives (Pearls)
1 (4 oz.) can diced green chiles (Ortega)
2 tbsp. chili powder
2 tbsp. chili powder
1 tsp. crushed red pepper
hot sauce, to taste
cayenne powder, to taste (sub with habanero for a kick!)

In large pot, brown ground beef and drain. Set aside.

Sauté onions and green pepper and mushrooms. Add brown sugar and vinegar until smooth. Add ground beef to pot and then stir in all of the rest of the ingredients.

Let simmer for 1 hour, or longer if you prefer.

Serve and enjoy!
