HOT FUDGE PUDDING CAKE 
1 c. flour
3/4 c. sugar
2 tbsp. cocoa powder
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. milk
2 tbsp. melted shortening
1 tsp. vanilla

TOPPING:

3/4 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. cocoa powder
1 3/4 c. hot water

Combine dry ingredients in a large bowl. Stir in milk, shortening and vanilla; mix thoroughly. Pour pudding batter into an ungreased 9 inch square pan.

Mix all topping ingredients together, making sure sugar is dissolved. Pour over pudding batter in the pan. Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for 40-45 minutes, or until cake is set and a cake tester in the center comes out clean. Serve warm with ice cream, whipped cream or favorite whipped topping.
