BUTTERCREAM ICING 
2 c. Crisco
1/2 c. water
1/2 tsp. salt
2 lbs. powdered sugar
1 tsp. white vinegar
1 tbsp. cornstarch
1 tsp. white vanilla

Beat all ingredients together until smooth and fluffy, about 4 minutes. Yield: 8 cups icing.

Lemon juice may be substituted for white vinegar. Frost cake and refrigerate.
