CAPE COD OATMEAL COOKIES 
1 1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. salt
1 3/4 c. rolled oats
1/2 c. melted butter
1/2 c. melted shortening
1 egg, slightly beaten
1 c. sugar
1 1/2 tbsp. molasses
1/4 c. milk
1/2 c. nuts
1/2 c. coconut
1/2 c. chocolate chips (use raspberry or mint flavor for variation)

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

2. Mix dry ingredients together.

3. Add the remaining ingredients and stir until well mixed.

4. Drop by spoonfuls on ungreased cookie sheet.

5. Bake about 12 minutes, until edges are brown.
