OAT 'N RAISIN COOKIES 
1 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
1 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
3 c. quick oats
1 c. raisins

Cream shortening and sugars. Mix in eggs and vanilla. Stir together flour, salt, soda and spices. Fold into creamed mixture. Stir in oats and raisins. Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls, onto a greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown.
