CALIFORNIA RAISIN APPLE CAKE 
1 1/2 c. vegetable oil
2 c. sugar
3 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. all-purpose flour
1 c. whole wheat flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
2 c. apples (peeled, cut in 1" chunks)
1 c. raisins
3/4 c. chopped walnuts
Powdered sugar

In mixing bowl, combine oil and sugar; beat until thick. Add eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each. Mix in vanilla. Sift together flour, soda, cinnamon, salt and nutmeg. Add to oil mixture; mix well. Stir in apples, raisins and walnuts, just until blended.

Spoon into greased and floured 9 x 13 inch pan. Bake in 325 degree oven for 1 hour and 15 minutes or until pick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool cake in pan on rack 15 minutes. Remove from pan and cool completely. Dust with powdered sugar.
