CRESCENTS 
1 c. butter
1/4 c. confectioners' sugar
2 c. sifted flour
1 tbsp. water
2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped nuts
Confectioners' sugar for coating

Melt butter in saucepan. Stir in sugar, water and vanilla. Gradually blend in flour and nuts. I mold the dough around a Hershey chocolate kiss or a well drained maraschino cherry on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 300 degrees for 20 minutes. Remove from cookie sheet and dust with confectioners' sugar. Cool and dust again.
