OVEN BARBECUED SPARE RIBS 
3 to 4 lb. ribs, cut into pieces
1 lemon
1 lg. onion
1 c. catsup
1/3 c. Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp. chili powder
1 tsp. salt
2 dashes Tabasco sauce
2 c. water

Turn oven to 450 degrees. Place ribs in a shallow pan, meaty side up. On each piece place a slice of unpeeled lemon, a thin slice of onion. Roast in very hot oven (450 degrees) for 30 minutes.

Combine remaining ingredients bring to a boil and pour over spare ribs. Continue baking in a moderate oven (350 degrees) until tender, about 45 minutes to 1 hour. Baste ribs with sauce every 15 minutes. If sauce gets too thick, add water.
