ONE EGG CHOCOLATE CAKE 
1/2 c. Crisco
3 sq. chocolate (or cocoa)
1 1/4 c. sugar
2 c. flour
1 tsp. vanilla
1 egg, unbeaten
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. sour milk

Blend Crisco, sugar, salt and egg. Beat well; add cocoa and vanilla. Sift flour. Measure and add soda and add alternately with sour milk to creamed mixture. Bake in layers in 350 degree oven.

ICING:

1 c. sugar
1/4 c. milk or cream
1/4 c. butter
1/4 c. cocoa
2 tsp. vanilla

Mix sugar, milk or cream, butter and cocoa. Boil one minute; remove from heat and add 2 teaspoons vanilla and heat until thick enough to put on cake.
