FLOUR TORTILLAS 
3 c. flour
1 tbsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1/3 c. lard
1 c. very hot water

Mix all ingredients (adding the very hot water last). Knead to form dough. Pinch off 2 inch balls from dough. Flour a rolling pin and the surface you will be using to roll out the tortillas on. Pat the balls of dough in flour. roll out ball until tortilla is flat and round in shape. Heat a skillet to medium high. (Do not oil the skillet). Lay the tortillas in skillet when you see little bubbles form, flip the tortillas, allow to cook on this side. (Approximately 45 seconds.) You may need to flip one more time. Remove from skillet and repeat until all dough is used. Makes approximately 15.
