JANET'S MAGIC FRENCH FUDGE 
3 (6 oz. each) pkgs. semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 can sweetened condensed milk (not evaporated milk)
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
Pinch of salt
1/2 c. chopped nuts (optional)

In the top of a double boiler, melt chocolate over hot water; remove from heat. Add sweetened condensed milk, vanilla, salt and if desired, nuts. Stir until smooth. Turn onto waxed paper lined 8 inch square pan. Chill, tore in an airtight container - out of sight if you want it to last! Makes about 1 3/4 pounds of fudge.
