BEST EVER DOUGHNUTS 
4 1/4 c. sifted flour
4 tsp. baking powder
1 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. salt
2 eggs, well beaten
1 c. sugar
2 tbsp. melted butter
1 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
Sugar

Sift together dry ingredients. Beat eggs and sugar together. Stir in butter, milk and vanilla. Add dry ingredients, stir until smooth. Knead dough lightly on floured board. Roll out to 3/8 inch thickness. Cut with floured cutter. Fry in deep hot oil (375 degrees) turning once. Drain on paper towels. Roll in sugar.
