1 box yellow cake mix
1/3 c. Crisco oil
1 egg
1/4 c. butter, melted
1 c. sugar (white or brown)
4 eggs
1 c. dark Karo syrup
2 c. pecan pieces

Mix until crumbly the cake mix, Crisco oil and 1 egg. Put in well-greased 9x13 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes.

Mix 1/4 cup butter, sugar, eggs, syrup and nuts together. Pour over top of cake. Return to oven. Bake 40 minutes more or until top is set.
