GINGER ICE BOX COOKIES 
1 c. butter
2 c. sugar
2 eggs
4 1/2 c. flour
1/2 c. molasses
3 tsp. ginger
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda

Mix softened butter, sugar, eggs and molasses together. Then add dry ingredients. Stir until well blended. Form into small loaves about 5 inches long and 2 inches wide and 1/2 inch high. Wrap in wax paper. Freeze for at least 1/2 hour. Cut in slices about 1/2 inch thick. Put on cookie sheet and bake until golden brown at 350 degrees for about 8 to 10 minutes. Remove. Sprinkle tops with sugar. Cool and enjoy!
