HOLIDAY NUTS 
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. water
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. grated cloves
2 1/2 c. nuts, pecans or any kind

Boil sugar, water, spices until syrup threads from spoon (293 degrees). Drop nuts into syrup. Stir until nuts are dry looking. Pour out on waxed paper. Let dry.
