BANANA CUSTARD | |
1 can evaporated milk 1 can water 2/3 c. cornstarch & enough cold water to mix well 1 egg 1/2 c. sugar 4-6 bananas (can sub. raisins, coconut, cherries, etc.) Mix evaporated milk and 1 can water in pan and put on low heat. Keep stirring mixture over low heat. Add cornstarch mixture (with the water) to it. When it begins to thicken, beat faster until thick and all lumps are gone. Take off heat and add egg, that was mixed with sugar, to milk mixture. Beat together until soupy. Put back on heat another minute until it thickens again. Remove from heat and add sliced bananas. |
