BANANA BONANZA CAKE 
2/3 c. butter
1 2/3 c. sugar
3 eggs
1 1/4 c. mashed bananas
2 1/4 c. flour
1 1/4 tsp. baking powder
1 1/4 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
2/3 c. buttermilk
2/3 c. chopped nuts
Caramel Frosting

Cream butter and sugar, add bananas and mix thoroughly. Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt and add to creamed mixture alternately with buttermilk. Stir in nuts. Pour into greased and floured 9 x 13 1/4 inch pan. Bake at 350°F for 45-50 minutes. Cool. Frost with caramel frosting.

CARAMEL FROSTING:

1/2 c. butter
1 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. milk
3 c. sifted powdered sugar

Combine butter, milk and brown sugar in saucepan and bring to a boil. Stir constantly. Cool 10 minutes. Gradually add powdered sugar, beating well until blended.
