SICILIAN PIZZA CRUST | |
1 env. active dry yeast 1 c. lukewarm water 1 tsp. salt 3 1/2 c. unsifted flour 1/3 c. olive oil 1/2 tsp. sugar In a bowl mix sugar, yeast and lukewarm water until yeast is dissolved. Stir in salt and flour. Stir until dough is stiff. Knead dough on a floured surface until smooth and elastic. Cover with a bowl and let stand for one hour. With oiled fingers, press the remaining dough evenly into a lightly oiled 14 inch pizza pan. Bake in preheated oven, 425 degrees F., for 20 minutes. Add your own toppings to make a great lunch or dinner. |
