HARVARD BEETS 
2 c. beets
1/3 c. sugar
2 tbsp. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. water
2 tbsp. butter
1/4 c. vinegar

Mix sugar, flour and add water, vinegar, butter and salt in saucepan. Stir constantly until thick. Add drained beets and stir. Cook until beets are heated.
