ALMOND CRISPS | |
1 c. brown sugar 1 c. sugar 1 lb. butter 3 eggs 2 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. salt 4 1/2 c. flour 2 tsp. vanilla 1 c. blanched slivered almonds, approximately Cream butter and sugars. Add eggs and vanilla. Mix. Add salt, flour, and baking soda. Mix well. Add almonds. Form into 4 loaves. Freeze at least 3 hours (okay to freeze for weeks). Slice thinly and bake at 375 degrees about 10 minutes until brown (and crisp!) |
