CORNED BEEF HASH SANDWICHES AU
GRATIN
 
1 tbsp. shortening
1/2 tsp. minced onion
3/4 c. corned beef hash
1 tbsp. catsup
4 slices white bread
1/2 c. grated Sharp cheese

Melt shortening in pan, add onion and saute for 3 minutes. Add hash and catsup, cook for 5 additional minutes. Toast bread on both sides. Spread each slice of toast with hash. Sprinkle cheese over top. Place on a cookie sheet and toast under a preheated broiler at 400 degrees for 5 minutes, or until cheese melts. Makes 4 sandwiches.
