HASH BROWN POTATO CASSEROLE 
1 lg. bag (2 lb.) hash browns
1/2 c. melted butter
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. pepper
1 c. sour cream
1/2 c. chopped onion
1 can cream of chicken soup
2 c. sharp cheddar, shredded
1 c. corn flakes, crushed or bread crumbs

Combine melted butter, salt, pepper, sour cream, onion and soup. Melt 2 tablespoons butter in 9 x 13 inch baking dish. Add thawed hash browns. Pour over other mixed ingredients. Stir. Sprinkle cheese and crumbs on top. Bake 45 minutes at 350 degrees. Can be prepared the night before (except for crumbs) and refrigerated.
