PATTY JO'S CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES | |
1 cup shortening (I use unflavored Crisco) 1 1/2 cups sugar 2 eggs 2 tsp. vanilla extract 3 cups all-purpose flour 1 tsp. salt 1 1/2 to 2 cups chocolate chips (mini chips are best!) Preheat oven to 375°F. Cream shortening and sugar, add eggs and vanilla stir until well mixed. Combine flour and salt. Add gradually to creamed mixture. Stir in chips. Make walnut sized balls, flatten slightly and bake at 375°F for about 10 minutes on lightly greased insulated sheet. Remove when cookies are barely browned. Note: If needed put two cookie sheets together or use insulated "AirBake" type sheet. Submitted by: Patty Grigsby |
