1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup shortening
2/3 cup sifted powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. orange extract
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup chopped pecans
Sifted powdered sugar

Cream butter and shortening. Gradually add 2/3 cup sugar and flavoring, beating until light and fluffy. Gradually add flour and beat well. Stir in chopped pecans, shape into 1 inch balls, place on ungreased cookie sheets. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Remove immediately from cookie sheets and roll in powdered sugar. Cool and roll again in powdered sugar. Yields approximately 3 1/2 dozen.
